Now I know I haven't been updating my blog for a few weeks now, but I have been overrun with video work and I am also in the process of starting up a new company. I took time out to see this one! this book is legendary and something I think the black community has been crying for to be made over the last 20 years. Although I think this movie was executed very well and stars one of my mates (Aml Ameen (and his daughter in the film is an old school mate’s daughter very good performances from both) I think it was probably 10 years too late. I was sat in the cinema with people who look as though they don’t.t really go cinema and not a lot of people. I feel the younger audiences do not know about the book or care for the culture represented in the book at all. Me myself I thoroughly enjoyed the film and was very impressed with Idris's directorial debut. very good movie in my eyes just released too late to make the impact it would of.
