Having been a big fan of previous work especially his forest hills album I was eagerly anticipating this album but was left rather disappointed. although J Cole lyrics are without a doubt fire. his beat selection on this album is very dry. a few songs stood out such as Kevin’s hart and 1985, I just feel J Cole has the ability to do so much better. I wouldn’t call it shit but then I wouldn’t call it a classic either.
